My most memorable Valentine's Day was all about love...just not the romantic kind that is usually associated with the 14th. My hubs and I had been trying for a couple years to get pregnant for the first time, but with no success. It was Valentine's Day 2007 that I found out through an early ultrasound that YES! we were expecting and even better YES! there were two in there.

And what a surprise when just twenty months after the first set joined our family, I had ANOTHER set of twins! We're a little hesitant to try again... ;)

The best Valentines Day ever!

{First a little back round.}I am going to admit that I had never truly had a Valentine before my darling hubby.

{Second: Luke.} My sweet husband claims to not be a romantic and has a hard time coming up with great ideas. So he usually just doesn't do anything. Sad I know. I actually find this out more afterwords. And haven't really done anything like this since. Due to money etc.

The first year Luke and I were married he totally surprised me! He picked me up from work and instead of driving home he drove straight to the Point South Mountain Resort! When he opened up the door there were rose pedals leading all throughout the room to the bed. (wink Wink) Luke talked the guy into giving him the Honeymoon sweet for regular pricing and we also had our own private jacuzzi!

I truly love my husband and so anything he does I know he has put in a lot of effort and that he really means it.

My most memorable Valentine's Day was with my husband before we were married (back when we both still had money, haha). He booted his family out of the house (after he had his mom assist him with the meal) and had a candlelit dinner with a 2 dozen red roses and some expensive Belgium chocolates...the cutest thing, though, was after dinner when he put some slow music on and we danced until his parents came back home...it was so super sweet and romantic :)

Well unfortunately my favorite Valentine's memory is when in highschool, my younger brother Danny felt bad that I didn't have a boyfriend so he bought a dozen roses for me and had them sent to my class. It was super sweet. It is kind of pathetic to think that the one time I did have a boyfriend over Valentine's dad wasn't as sweet. And now...well it isn't Valentine's day yet.

Oh and Heather...put my name in 10 times so I will have a better chance...ok?? :)

I don't really remember Valentine's Day as being particularly exciting until I met my husband. While we were engaged he surprised me with a gorgeous set of earrings that he picked out all by himself. It still makes me laugh to visualize him standing at the department store counter choosing which set to get me. It's not extravagant by any means but very sweet.

The Valentine's Day right before we were married was very sweet... but pretty funny. We were set to be married in March, so he had a stuffed monkey with a heart and banana shaped candy sent to my office. The card said "Can't wait for the 'bid day,' instead of 'big day." I asked if I was on the auction block! He also asked why the monkey came with corn candy... so I explained that the candy was actually shaped like bananas ... he is so silly, but so sweet. Five years later the monkey still sits in my office!

My most memorable Valentine's Day was in college with my boyfriend (now husband). He kicked his roommate out of the room they shared and suprised me with 100 pink red and white balloons all over the room surrounding the futon on the floor (smile) with champagne and glasses, candles going and soft music (barry white of course) playing. Oh and red streamers hanging from ceiling. Quite creative cute on a budget :) Amy and Dan B

My most memorable V-Day was actually the day before when we got engaged. We went skiing all day the day before and I was expecting/hoping he would pop the question on the slopes but then he waited until we were just hanging out afterwards at my parents' house and asked there/then (not the most romantic spot) Anyways I said yes and it's the best choice I've made. I still think it's funny he didn't want to wait another day until V-Day because he thought that would be cheesy. I hope I win because I want you to do some spring family pics anyways, I'm getting down to my fighting weight :)

Not going to lie, one of my most memorable Valentine's days was also the most simple. My husband (who worked a ridiculous amount when we were first married) came home from work late and invited me on a bike ride. We lived in Santa Monica at the time, so we rode down Santa Monica Blvd, got sushi at our favorite place, then cruised a few blocks to the beach and ate it on a bench over looking the ocean. After that he produced a hand written note (done glamorously on spiral note pad paper) with a list of things he loved about me which were thoughtful and sincere.

It was followed by a close second (shhh, don't tell) and very sweet v-day with a high school love. What made that Valentine's day special and so sweet was that the boyfriend that I had through the years brought not one, but 2 gifts over. The nicest (of course) was for me, the other was a friendly gift for my sister who is just a year older and had never had a boyfriend or dated much up to that point. He included a sweet note to her telling her what a great friend she was, and I know it really made her feel special on a day that can make some singles feel lonely and down.

My most memorable Valentines Day was our first year of marriage. I was pregnant and we didn't have a lot of money so I got off work early and cut out hearts and hung them up all over our apartment. I made him a card and when he got home we got our fav. pizza (pepperoni thin crust) and rented a movie. Somtimes its the simple things that are the best.

My most memorable Valentines day was before my husband and I were married he did a scavenger hunt for me all around my house and it ended with me finding a beautiful heart necklace on a really cute teddy bear, then he took me horse back riding (My favorite thing to do) then back to my house where he cooked me my favorite dinner :)

So this starts out like your typical Valentine's Day but then takes an interesting turn. Jeremy and I were STILL:) dating and he took me to Tempe Town Lake where we had a fantastic evening dinner by the lake. Then up walks a man you would definitely not want to meet in a dark alley by yourself. He asked us for a ride home and in my book the answer to that is always no but I married a man who through the years continues to prove his answer to that is yes. Anyway we ended our "romantic" night by driving the random scary man home. Super memorable V-Day but not one I need to repeat:)

My most memorable seems to be the most boring one yet (but exciting for Chris and I). It was last year I was two months pregnant and I was exhausted and sick. Chris had made reservations for us at Flemmings (one of his favorite restaurants) beacuse I had never been. Once he got home from work and saw how awful I looked he opted to cook a simple dinner for both of us and curl up on the couch and watch a movie with me while he totally catered to my every need. He is the sweetest ever!!!

Our V-day is usually pretty low-key! I really don't know what we've done so I guess it's been pretty uneventful! Sorry I'm so lame but I really can't think of anything that stands out! Maybe this year I'll do something spectacular to make it memorable and then I'll have something to tell you next year! :o)

Jason is really really good at picking out clothes for me and will usually pick me out an outfit for holidays like Valentine's Day. In the last three years he has bought me more clothes than I have bought myself (which isn't very much :). I love wearing things that he picked out and bought me. It helps that he has great taste too!

By the way- I think this picture of Madi and Cash is the BEST picture I've ever seen.

I think one of my most memorable Vdays was when my hubby and I were dating. We went to dinner at PF Chang's and went back to his place to watch a movie. We watched a chick flick that night. I found out later that Jason hates chick flicks so it made it extra special for me.

I love Vday now because we celebrate the whole month due to our bdays and Vday!

I loved reading what everyone has done. We have never really done anything spectacular, because usually we have school or something. But when we have its usually dinner and movie, kinda boring, maybe this year we will do something great!

My Best Valentine’s Day Ever!

Actually my Valentine’s Day did not start till the day I met my husband on Eharmony! He has been there for me through all my medical issues and problems. The highlight of what I like to call my lifetime of Valentine’s Day, was the day that my son was born. After undergoing life threatening labor and surgery we had our baby boy Miguel on Feb 13th, 2008. We were sitting together in my room and I was crying because I was not allowed to see my son because of the condition I was in I could not get out of bed. Little did I know that my husband was trying to work something out with the doctors so that I could go to the NICU and see my son. They said I could not sit up yet in a wheel chair and the bed was too big to roll into NICU. So my husband being the prince that he is told me on Feb 13th that he was hooking up his Ps3 to the TV he was bringing so that I could at least see Miguel that way. By the time I woke up Feb 13th my husband had a video camera in the NICU with the PS3 hooked up to the TV monitor so I could see Miguel. I started crying right then and there seeing my son since he had been born on that camera. My husband then stated to look to my right and there I found roses from him and Miguel for Valentine’s Day. That was not all because when the door opened to my room some nurses came in and rolled my bed to a private room a couple of rooms away from the NICU where they had put my son in his own private room. There my husband beaming at me with his hazel eyes looking ready to cry. I was able to see my son and touch him for the first time on that Valentine’s Day. That is a day I will never forget. That is way my life has been an endless Valentine’s Day with my husband. He is the greatest man I could have ever asked for.

My most memorable Valentine's Day would be 3 years ago. I took my husband to stay at the Embassey suites hotel, and it had to be around 9pm and he wanted to go backk down to the lobby. I was kind of upset because I was really tired,a nd we had just found out I was pregnant again. We went down to the lobby, and he wanted to sit by the water fall. Then out of no where he proposed to me. i will never forget that day. It was the best.

Well, look at all these love stories!! But I am afraid I cannot add to them...it is with much sadness to say that I have never had a valentine. I am in my late 20's and yet cupid has not struck me with such luck. But to destract myself on valentines day, I make sure that patients in the pediatric hospital in which I work, have something special in their room. And I also make sure to spread a little extra love to my grandma, parents and brothers. So, Heather, put me in the drawing a couple extra times...seeing that I need a BIG Valentines Day pick-me-up!

Chance and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day anymore. I'm not a big fan of the holiday so we gave up on going out, it's just too busy. Last year, Chance borrowed a chandelier from his sister and hung it up in our trellace in the backyard. He picked up Olive Garden, Pizza Hut, Wings Express and some Pepsi. We had quite a few choices for food that night and just ate out on our outdoor furniture. He did set up an outdoor heater for me. It was pretty chilly last year. It would be so fun to do a shoot with you. I haven't seen you forever.
